ICAS Annual Conference 2025
Get ready to expand your mind, and your future, at our hybrid Annual Conference on 5 November 2025 in London.
Chaired by Dharshini David, Deputy Economics Editor at BBC News, the conference is a major milestone for ICAS. The event brings together business leaders, policymakers and CAs from a range of industries and sectors to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the profession.
The closing keynote comes from British astronaut Tim Peake, who we can expect to champion the fast-expanding space economy as well as sharing stories from his time on the International Space Station. We will also hear from Dame Wendy Hall, Regius Professor of Computer Science at the University of Southampton and an authority on AI and its possible impact on our economy – and our profession. Joining her on the panel we have Nick Fry, former CEO of the Mercedes F1 team.
As well as AI, key themes will include sustainability and the growing role CAs play in guiding organisations through complex, business-critical issues. We are also proud to include a special panel on ethical leadership, which has been at the heart of ICAS for more than 170 years.
Date: Wednesday 5 November 2025
Time: 08.30 registration for 09.30 start; networking drinks at 17.00
Location: Cavendish Venues, 1 America Square, 17 Crosswall, London EC3N 2LB

Scotland East summer BBQ
Scotland East Area Network held its summer barbecue in July. The sun shone on a beautiful evening at the Grange Cricket Club in Edinburgh, as ICAS members and guests gathered for lawn games, delicious food, a free drink courtesy of Rutherford Cross – and of course the great company of their peers.
President Karen Scholes CA (pictured) joined more than 40 members and guests. A portion of the proceeds went to the ICAS Foundation, which supplies bursaries and mentoring for academically gifted young people from lower-income backgrounds.
