New features, including videos and other supporting assets, bring CA vacancies to life and give talented school leavers and graduates the information they need to apply with confidence.

Join the debate on ethical judgement

ICAS is hosting a free discussion on Ethics under pressure: Why professional judgement is a state of mind in London on Tuesday 24 November.

A panel of experts, including Jonny Jacobs MBE CA, Deputy President of ICAS, will look at what it takes to do the right thing when the pressure is on.

The chartered accountancy profession is built on the highest standards of ethical judgement, integrity and accountability. Your CA training develops them, you swear an oath to maintain them, then nurture and rely on them through your career. But factors out of your control can impact your ability to stick to these standards.

Following on from Global Ethics Day on 21 October, join the discussion to explore how ethical judgement is shaped by your state of mind, organisational culture and the people around you.

Join this free event to explore practical approaches that can help you make better decisions and maintain professional standards when faced with pressure.

The session will take place at Ham Yard Hotel, 1 Ham Yard, London, W1D 7DT. It is open to ICAS members and students, as well as non-members, and allows time for networking opportunities after the discussion.

Accounting On It
podcast launches

From Formula 1 and fashion to film, television and fraud investigation, our new podcast series is taking listeners inside the industries and organisations where CAs are helping shape major decisions.

Accounting On It, hosted by Emily Willis CA, has been created to challenge outdated perceptions of the profession and shine a light on the breadth of opportunities available to today’s and tomorrow’s CAs.

Released fortnightly, the 12-episode series explores how money works behind the scenes in some of the world’s most fascinating sectors, revealing the role accountants play in helping organisations make decisions, manage risk and drive success.

The first episode features Charlie Minors CA, Director of Strategy & Transformation at Formula 1, who discusses the business behind one of the world’s fastest-growing sports and how accountancy helped him build a career at the heart of global motorsport.

The podcast is designed particularly with young people in mind, helping those considering their future careers understand that accountancy is far more than the stereotypes often associated with the profession. By introducing listeners to CAs working in influential roles across business, technology, sport and culture, the series aims to broaden awareness of where the CA qualification can lead.

But the podcast isn’t just for future accountants. Members can also gain fresh insights into sectors beyond their own, hear from fellow CAs in remarkable roles, and discover stories that demonstrate the continued relevance and impact of the profession.

As members are often the strongest advocates for the profession, we encourage you to listen, subscribe and share the podcast with your networks, whether that’s students, trainees, colleagues, schools, universities, friends or family members considering their next career move.

Accounting On It is available now on all major podcast platforms and YouTube, with new episodes released every two weeks.

Investing in your career and the profession

Your annual membership renewal opens on Tuesday 11 November 2026.

For nearly two centuries, CAs have shaped business, public life and society. As annual renewal opens, we reflect on what those two letters stand for today, and why they matter more than ever.

ICAS was founded by people who looked beyond convention. They challenged accepted ways of working, set new professional standards and helped society move forward. That pioneering spirit still lives in every CA who leads with judgement, integrity and courage.

The letters after your name are more than a mark of achievement. They connect you to a legacy of trust, a global community of CAs and a profession whose influence is felt every day in boardrooms, businesses, public institutions and communities around the world.

In a climate shaped by rapid technological change, economic uncertainty and changing expectations of business, CAs continue to bring clarity to complex decisions, influence policy, uphold standards and help organisations make better choices. Trusted professional judgement remains as important today as it has ever been.

Renewing your membership helps you maintain the professional recognition you have earned and stay connected to the support, insight and community that can help you throughout your career.

As a member, you continue to benefit from:
• Expert technical guidance and support
• CPD, courses, conferences and events
• Professional resources and insights
• Local and global member networks
• Opportunities to help shape the future of the profession
• Representation and advocacy on issues that matter to CAs

Whether you are building your career, leading an organisation or enjoying retirement, ICAS is here to support you wherever you are in the world.

Last month, we announced changes to our membership fee structure for 2027. The new structure is designed to better reflect modern working patterns and support members at every stage of their careers. It introduces a clearer and more flexible approach to subscriptions, including a simpler route into retirement while
retaining access to key membership
benefits.

You can find full details of the 2027 fee structure, eligibility information and frequently asked questions on the renewal information page.
