CA Summit is back

Join our award-winning virtual event to connect with the big ideas shaping the way you live and work. CA Summit returns this year with leading voices in business, technology, economics and politics, with interviews, panel discussions and interactive sessions, all broadcast live from the summit studio.

Over two hours each day we’ll break down the urgent issues, offering insights, answers to your questions and strategies to help you stay ahead of the curve.

Each day focuses on a core theme.

Day One
Are you ready for Business 3.0?
The first day will focus on AI, technology and the new tools transforming the way we do business. How has our world of work already been altered, and what will further innovation mean for you, your organisation and the economy?

Day Two
New governments, same old economy?
On day two we’ll focus on the post-election economic outlook. What does the new Labour government mean for the UK’s prospects, and how might the result of the US election shape the global economic forecast?

Leading the right way
On both days, we’ll examine the issues through the lens of ethical leadership. How do we adopt new technology without ditching our principles? Can politicians and business leaders make decisions that are good for growth, people and planet?

Host for both days is the journalist and broadcaster Dharshini David, who covers economics and trade for BBC News.

Our panellists will speak freely about their achievements, challenges and aspirations, including the steps we can all take to ensure the profession continues to attract and grow diverse talent.

They will also provide insight into the support they have received and discuss how allyship can contribute towards shaping a more diverse and inclusive profession.

One Young World

The One Young World Summit returned in September, with the annual gathering convening this year in Montreal. Among the young delegates at the four-day event was Eryn Paterson CA, representing ICAS and Chartered Accountants Worldwide.

Paterson joined the ICAS Foundation programme on the recommendation of a teacher and was supported through her studies with mentoring and a bursary. She qualified in 2023 and is currently a foundation mentor and an Audit Assistant Manager at KPMG. No stranger to passionate advocacy, she has been part of KPMG’s Social Mobility Scotland Network since joining the Big Four firm in 2020.

This magazine will feature an in-depth interview with Paterson in a future issue. In the meantime, you can watch her discuss her journey to date in this video.
